At the heart of culture!

To immerse yourself in culture and history, simply head to the nearby town of Bertinoro, a medieval village crisscrossed by cobbled streets that climb towards the ancient Bishop's Fortress.

Today, an important University Center and the Interreligious Museum dedicated to the three great monotheistic religions, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, are located here.

Descending from Bertinoro towards the plain, you reach Forlimpopoli, where the medieval fortress dominates the large square and where the aromas of traditional cuisine bear the signature of Pellegrino Artusi, the famous gastronome after whom the first Italian Center for Home Cooking and Food Culture is named, inspired by his recipes.

Following the Via Emilia northwest, you reach Forlì, the provincial capital along with Cesena. In Forlì, fine architecture stands out in the elegant Piazza Saffi, under the shadow of the Romanesque bell tower of San Mercuriale. A network of squares leads to the San Domenico Museums, a 13th-century convent complex now transformed into the Civic Art Gallery, with a gallery hosting international exhibitions.

Cesena's historic center is also splendid, crisscrossed by narrow, porticoed streets and dominated by the Rocca Malatestiana. The city's iconic monument is the Malatestiana Library, founded in the mid-15th century and preserved intact in its structure, furnishings, and book collection, so much so that UNESCO has included it in the international "Memory of the World" register.

And from Cesena to Cesenatico it's a short step: the sails of Leonardo's Porto Canale color this pearl of the Adriatic, characterized by long sandy beaches dotted with umbrellas.
